About Greg
The Person Behind the Speaker
Greg Gilbert retired from a large corporation as the Area Manager of Human Resources. He has been the primary HR contact to a work force of 900-2100 at various times. Responsibilities as HR Area Manager included grievances, labor relations, arbitration, assisting with lawsuits, safety, training and compensation.
He is the survivor of raising two wonderful daughters in a sometimes hostile demographic environment of 75% female. He has been married to his best friend for more than 31 years (yes, his wife and best friend are the same person). He is a semi-guitar picker, semi-writer, semi-songwriter, semi-poet, cattle rancher, public speaker and retired Human Resources manager that will share true stories and songs that are guaranteed to stir many emotions. One of his favorite songs on the guitar is "Long Black Train" and he does believe there is victory in the Lord. His most frequent pickin' and singing location is Old Liberty Community Church in Crossroads, Arkansas where he attended all day singings and eatin' on the ground as a child. He has been certified as a Professional of Human Resources since 1993 and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is a professional member of the Christian Country Music Association, Four States Gospel Music Association and a member of Nashville Songwriters Association International. He also cheerfully answers to the name Pa Paw. |
