I would like to share my Keynote "Accountable Seedership™ Is Our Responsibility!" with your group. "Accountable Seedership™ Is Our Responsibility!" is a 45-60 minute presentation that will cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. This presentation consists of key life and management lessons from my management class "Accountable Leadership And Results Management Training", www.ALARMT.com PLUS a few "Musical Minutes" with "Mr. HR With A Guitar". If you are looking for 100% dry and serious, look elsewhere. HR, leadership and management are very bland topics so we will apply just the correct amount of seasoning. As Area Manager of Human Resources for a Fortune 100 company I learned many things. It was the most rewarding, educational experience of my corporate life. I learned many things about people but the one person I learned the most about was ME. That was great because I also learned that I was the only one I could change. Just what is "Accountable Seedership™"? It is not a typo for Leadership although it is closely tied to leadership. "Accountable Seedership™" is being held personably accountable for the seeds we sow in life. We have a problem in this country. The problem is that many people do not consider themselves leaders. They consider themselves "without influence" and do not consider the quality of the "seeds" they sow. They are shirking their responsibilities. Let me share some of the titles that I consider to be leaders; Parent, step-parent, grandparent, employee, supervisor, manager, teacher or preacher. Did I name you? If not, let me know, it's probably a mistake. You may serve in multiple roles and sow different seeds in each. Some of these roles were requested and some were just inherited but you still have a duty to scatter "good seeds". You see, a major portion of a leader's responsibility is the lives they impact and the "seeds they sow". To sow "good seeds" is not a choice, it's a responsibility. It's a duty. Some of the greatest rewards in life are sowing good seeds and watching them grow and develop. "Accountable Seedership™ Is Our Responsibility!" is a program that explores the different roles we play, the different aspects of our life such as health, relationships or finance and the quality of seeds sown in each. We will throw "good seeds". These seeds come from personal and mentor's experience and have been tested over time. The only variable will be the quality of the soil which will be the audience. As the parable says, some will fall on rocky, some thorny and some good soil. We are hoping for good soil but will continue to sow wherever requested. I have witnessed hundreds of successes and failures. I have reviewed thousands of appraisals and performance improvement plans. I have watched lives, marriages, families and careers destroyed by an individual's actions and the power of the written word. BUT, I have also seen lives, marriages, families and careers items salvaged by a change in an individual's actions accompanied by the written word and a PLAN. After witnessing these items I have come to this conclusion, "Nothing Changes Until Something Is Written" and the BEST way to NOT FAIL at "Accountable Seedership™" is to have a plan. Most people do not have a written plan but this is an invitation to become "Unmost People"! Think about changes that you may implement upon receipt of these written documents; a speeding ticket, a note from your child's school about their behavior, a termination notice from your employer, a notice that your spouse has filed for divorce, a declaration of bankruptcy or a diagnosis of cancer or diabetes from your doctor. Why wait on these items? Become proactive to prevent these, not reactive to correct them. You will make a change by either inspiration or despiration. We prefer inspiration. Some people may wait on despiration, "But I Am Not Some People!" I want to share the power of the written word as it is used to address poor performance, acknowledge good performance or develop a plan for improved performance. Oh, and don't think that we are just writing about someone else. The most beneficial plan we can write is our own. In our limited amount of time I will share some items that if written down, reviewed and implemented will improve your success rate in "Accountable Seedership™" Plus, although I truly believe in the value of good content, I also believe in having fun.
